DESCRIPTION:
EPW - William Gib, London, verge fusee with mock pendulum and calendar function, 58mm, silver OF pair cases, outer unmarked, inner with incuse "I H" marking, "W. Gib London" marked silver champleve dial with calendar aperture at 6, KWKS, verge escapement, gilt mvt with balance cock having pierced foot and table having a viewing aperture with glass for mock pendulum motion, s#327 with matching serial number within inner case.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good calendar function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scratches to plate around pillar adjacent signature and serial number, some additional fine scratches elsewhere; excellent-plus dial with some mild fine to micro-fine scratches; excellent hands; outer case with evident very old repair to rear having two sizable portions of patched material, outer case shows medium wear, scattered dings with the most prominent being toward right side of rear, button latch good; inner case shows medium wear, scattered denting and dings to rear and around sides; bow pivots semi-freely; good domed glass crystal.
